Industrial environments are constantly evolving and increasingly require edge AI, robotics, machine vision, and industrial automation solutions that perform reliably and efficiently while maintaining low power consumption.

As today’s edge AI needs are being pushed by demands for faster decision-making, lower latency, scalability across multiple machines, and much more, solutions need to support high-performance and local AI processing without relying on the cloud.

The AP-6121 from Nodka is a high-performance embedded industrial AI computer powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, well-suited for next-generation AI edge computing deployments. Designed for accelerating AI and analytics at the edge, the Intel Core Ultra X7 processor 358H supports 18MB of Cache for fast on-chip memory, 1.9GHz to 4.8GHz operating speeds for efficient processing, and a TDP of 25W to 65W to maintain energy efficiency while managing complex tasks.

To support the efficient operation of the AP-6121, enabling the offloading of demanding AI and graphics tasks from the CPU, the integrated NPU accelerator provides up to 50 TOPS for continuous AI computing power with low power consumption, and the Intel Arc Graphics with up to 12 Xe cores (2.5GHz/122TOPS) supports computer vision and image processing needs.

In addition to the previously mentioned on-chip memory, Nodka’s AP-6121 features up to 96GB of LPDDR5X dual-channel on-board memory with a max of 8533 MHz, and one M.2-2242/2280 M Key Slot for NVMe. Additional wireless expansion is provided via one M.2-2230 E-key slot for a WiFi module (supports PCIe/USB 2.0 signals) and one M.2-3052 B-Key slot with a Nano-SIM socket for a 4G/5G module (supports USB 3.0/USB 2.0 signals).

The AP-6121 industrial AI computer supports industrial environments with reliable network connectivity, enabling efficient communication with cameras and sensors in factory settings. To support this communication, the solution is equipped with five Gigabit Ethernet ports in total: four Ethernet Wafer ports (Intel Ethernet Controller I210-AT) supporting EtherCAT and one GbE RJ45 port (Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V) supporting 2.5Gbps.

The 135mm x 130mm x 65.3mm industrial AI computer also includes eight GMSL2 serial links to support 8 channels of depth cameras, as well as one HDMI, six CAN, four Type-C, two USB2.0, four RS485, two RS485/232, and eight GPIO.

The OpenVINO Toolkit software is available to help optimize AI models, enabling them to run faster and more efficiently.
