Active Silicon’s Harrier autofocus-zoom camera range is expanding with the new 10x and 30x global shutter models. The cameras capture accelerated items with no distortion associated with rolling shutter sensors and deliver flexible and compact imaging solutions. The cameras combine a 3MP Sony Pregius S global shutter CMOS sensor with real-time Full HD video output at up to 1080p60.

Both cameras allow a choice of optical-zoom range for specific application requirements enabling designers to select the field of view and level of magnification needed. Other features include day and night operation, digital image stabilization, and noise reduction.

The native video output format is LVDS and CVBS with the product range being extended to include cameras with USB 3, HDMI, and Ethernet IP video output. According to the press release, this is achieved by tightly integrating a Harrier Camera Interface Board to make a pre-assembled and tested camera product with the desired video output. Various video formats and camera control interfaces allow streamlined integration into new and existing vision systems.

Applications:

  • UAVs
  • ROVs
  • Industrial Inspection
  • Robotics
  • Transport
  • Remote Monitoring
