According to SiTime’s new State of Time 2025 report, half of all engineers responding to the survey stated that they consider timing component options at the beginning of the system design process. This is a major shift in system design practices, and it’s happening across multiple industries, from AI and edge compute to aerospace and industrial automation.

The embedded computing community and industry will convene at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 and Hall 2 during COMPUTEX 2026. The event will be held June 2^nd to June 5^th and will focus on “AI Together” as its unifying theme. Expect keynotes from serious industry players such as Intel, Qualcomm, and Marvell, amongst others.

At this year's embedded world exhibition and conference, MediaTek announced innovations and partnerships designed to support edge intelligence at scale. The company announced its MediaTek Genio Pro, an AI IoT platform supporting high-performance IoT and embedded applications. The product is built on a 3nm process node and is tailored for applications such as edge AI devices, GenAI acceleration, advanced vision processing, and more.

IBASE Technology Inc. introduced the palm-sized fanless edge computing system, the ASB100-PI800, leveraging the Intel Atom x7433RE processor and built on the IBASE PI800 PICO-ITX board. The ASB100-PI800 delivers consistent energy efficient computing performance for space-constrained and low-power industrial IoT applications.

SSV Software Systems recently introduced its Wireless Remote Development services, designed to help developers maintain and update wireless IoT and embedded systems over long service lifetimes while addressing emerging European regulatory requirements such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the Radio Equipment Directive Delegated Act.

The Nordic Semiconductor nRF54LM20B is a wireless SoC in the company’s nRF54L series that combines an MCU, low-power wireless connectivity, and on-chip AI acceleration. The device integrates up to 2 Mbytes of nonvolatile memory and 512 kbytes of RAM, the largest memory configuration in the series.
