Silex Technology introduced its System-on-Module (SoM), the EP-200N, powered by the NXP i.MX 95 application processor. It is engineered for industrial and medical design teams that develop intelligent edge solutions. The EP-200N simplifies integration as well as meets demanding constraints for security, connectivity, and long-term availability.

"The EP-200N combines Silex's expertise in embedded connectivity with NXP's latest i.MX 95 applications processor to provide OEMs with a scalable foundation for secure edge AI applications," said Keith Sugawara, President and CEO of Silex Technology America, Inc. “Designed for healthcare and industrial automation applications, the EP-200N helps accelerate the development of intelligent edge systems requiring secure, reliable performance, and long-term availability.”

Featured is an efficient hexa-core Arm® Cortex®-A55 architecture with integrated GPU, VPU, ISP, and a dedicated 8 eTOPS neural processing unit (NPU) AI engine. The module has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and integrates 8 GB LPDDR5 memory and 32 GB eMMC storage. Included interfaces are Ethernet, CAN-FD, PCIe Gen3, Multimedia interfaces and other peripheral interfaces.

The EP-200N Yocto Linux BSP integrates Wi-Fi 6E embedded wireless driver based on NXP’s Wi-Fi solutions and its enhanced Linux drivers and software support simplifies integration while enabling a seamless NXP-based solution.

Ideal Applications:

  • Industrial Automation
  • Robotics
  • Machine Vision
  • Medical Imaging
  • Portable Medical Devices
  • Intelligent Gateways
  • Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI)

During Embedded World North America 2026 (September 22–24 in Anaheim, California), Silex Technology will showcase the EP-200N at Booth 5823 along with other innovative edge AI solutions.

According to the press release, evaluation kits for the EP-200N will be available in September 2026. Developers interested in evaluating the platform can request early access through the EP-200N-EVK Early Access Program here.
