Industrial designs are evolving quickly and new classes of devices are creating requirements for enhanced graphics and connectivity. Sophisticated human machine interfaces, internet connectivity, audio and video are all converging in industrial applications including Security, Monitoring and Automation (SMA), high-end whitegoods, and smart metering. Freescale's i.MX25 family of multimedia applications processors combine functionality, connectivity and low power consumption, creating the right foundation for building a cost-sensitive yet feature-rich connected SMA device. By combining the QNX Aviage, HMI and multimedia technology with the i.MX25 application processors, developers now have the platform on which to build these next generation devices. This webinar will explore the features of the i.MX25 and how the QNX Aviage middleware can leverage these features to develop rich multimedia experiences. It will show how off-the-shelf Adobe Flash tools can be used to not only prototype but also productize sophisticated human machine interfaces. Finally, a joint reference implementation SMA device targeting home energy management, security camera and remote monitoring will be presented.
