CES 2026 ended just last week, and the energy is still thrumming through me as I reflect back. A few trends really jumped out at me as I think back, and before I get into specifics, let me give you that 1000-foot-high viewpoint, as I saw it.

Ambarella, Inc. is highlighting its CV7 edge AI vision system-on-chip (SoC) at CES 2026. The solution is built for a variety of AI applications including AI-based 8K consumer products, multi-imager enterprise security cameras, robotics, industrial automation, and high-performance video conferencing devices.

SANTA CLARA, Calif.— Ambarella, Inc. announced during CES the latest additions to its CV3-AD family of automotive AI domain controllers—the CV3-AD635 and CV3-AD655 systems-on-chip (SoCs).

AI is here and it’s everywhere. However, AI is not the end game. AI is used to reach the end game, whatever that happens to be.

CES 2023. LIPS and Ambarella announced the new CV2 CVflow edge AI perception SoC based LIPSedge S-series 3D Stereo Camera. LIPS will be highlighting the S-Series during CES 2023. The solution combines high-resolution 2D and 3D image processing in one camera for machine vision applications. “By working with an industrial AI perception processing leader like Ambarella, we were able to come up with this next-gen 3D camera design that powers both 2D and 3D image processing on a single camera,” said Luke Liu, CEO of LIPS Corporation. “Adding this AI sensor fusion capability to our camera portfolio dramatically changes the machine vision landscape going forward.”

Ambarella announced during CES the CV3 AI domain controller family. Per the company, the CVflow family of SoCs provides the automotive industry’s highest AI processing performance, at up to 500 eTOPS, representing a 42x increase over Ambarella’s prior automotive family.
