SANTA CLARA, Calif.— Ambarella, Inc. announced during CES the latest additions to its CV3-AD family of automotive AI domain controllers—the CV3-AD635 and CV3-AD655 systems-on-chip (SoCs).

AI is here and it’s everywhere. However, AI is not the end game. AI is used to reach the end game, whatever that happens to be.

CES 2023. LIPS and Ambarella announced the new CV2 CVflow edge AI perception SoC based LIPSedge S-series 3D Stereo Camera. LIPS will be highlighting the S-Series during CES 2023. The solution combines high-resolution 2D and 3D image processing in one camera for machine vision applications. “By working with an industrial AI perception processing leader like Ambarella, we were able to come up with this next-gen 3D camera design that powers both 2D and 3D image processing on a single camera,” said Luke Liu, CEO of LIPS Corporation. “Adding this AI sensor fusion capability to our camera portfolio dramatically changes the machine vision landscape going forward.”

Ambarella announced during CES the CV3 AI domain controller family. Per the company, the CVflow family of SoCs provides the automotive industry’s highest AI processing performance, at up to 500 eTOPS, representing a 42x increase over Ambarella’s prior automotive family.

Seeing Machines Limited announced a collaboration with Ambarella, Inc. to bring integrated Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and occupant and driver monitoring system (OMS and DMS) solutions to the market.

Ambarella, Inc., an AI vision silicon company, announced its new Artificial Intelligence Image Signal Processor (AISP).

Ambarella has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Ohio-based Oculii Corporation. Oculii’s adaptive AI software algorithms are designed to enable radar perception using current production radar chips to achieve higher (up to 100X) resolution, longer range, and greater accuracy.
