Ubicquia, Inc. a company dedicated to making intelligent infrastructure platforms that are simple to deploy and monitor announced a strategic partnership with Movandi Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, Ubicquia will leverage Movandi’s technology to create a mmWave smart repeater that plugs into a streetlight’s photocell socket in minutes. 

FRTek announced that it has entered an OEM partnership with Movandi providing semiconductors and antenna modules for FRTek PrimAer’s smart repeaters in the 24/26 GHz (n258), 28 GHz (n257/n261) and 39 GHz (n260) spectrum bands.

Doosan Will Showcase Movandi-powered 5G Smart Repeater Technology at CES 2022 in Booth #5318

Movandi announced the test drive results showing how 5G mmWave can deliver suitable performance in a moving automobile when Movandi-powered BeamXR smart repeater with Movandi BeamX cloud software control, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) are combined.

The Movandi approach is based on patented 5G millimeter-wave chipsets, RF power amplifiers, MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antennas, BeamXR smart repeater modules, and BeamX algorithms and software. It provides mesh networking capability with redundant and dynamic routing and will soon provide control via cloud-based data centers to balance and optimize network routing based on traffic and quality of connectivity. This reduces the required number of gNBs through load-balancing traffic across networks to provide continuous connectivity, even in moving vehicles.
