SYSGO's RTOS PikeOS and hypervisor reached the highest-level of space safety standard ECSS-E-ST-40C (Category A) for the first time. PikeOS' hypervisor functionality combines heterogenous systems allowing for the design of mixed-critical platforms saving costs, space, energy, and weight. According to the company, flight control, gateway, and monitoring can safely and securely run simultaneously in time and space.
SYSGO released version 1.1 of its real-time operating system, PikeOS for MPU. It will now support the Dahlia NG-Ultra system-on-a-chip (SoC) that leverages ARM-R52 cores and version 11.3 of the Gnu Compiler Collection. An added benefit is the ability to change the DDR memory without the need for adjustments with the Board Support Package (BSP). Another key highlight is an enhanced debug information view.

The decision was made based on the performance of PikeOS including various individual levels of security (MILS) and ECSS level B qualified base for critical systems.

Simulink is a modeling software extension from Matlab ideal for designing technical-physical and financial mathematical models. The models are translated into binary by way of Matlab's Embedded Coder and executed through PikeOS.
