Five Minutes with Wally Rhines, Chairman and CEO, Mentor Graphics
Five minutes was clearly not enough time for my interview with Wally Rhines of Mentor Graphics. We went through a list of topics, including what it's means to acquire a company (and being acquired), and why a great CEO gets a big benefit from having an engineering background. That's a point that I agree with. Too many companies are run by people who simply look at the numbers, and quite often, there's far too much information that doesn't show up in the numbers.
