LoRa Alliance Grows LoRaWAN Device Certification Program
June 05, 2019
New LoRaWAN Certification Test Tool pretests devices, saving members time and money to improve device reliability and achieve certification.
Berlin. The LoRa Alliance stated that it has enhanced its LoRaWAN certification program to satisfy the needs of LoRaWAN network operators and guarantee end users that certified devices meet the standards and range to work on any network out of the box.
“LoRaWAN is the de facto LPWAN industry standard,” said LoRa Alliance’s CEO and Chairwoman, Donna Moore. “A key role of the LoRa Alliance is to ensure that all LoRaWAN devices pass a comprehensive and rigorous test suite, and deliver the quality and performance expected by installers and end users alike. With millions of LoRaWAN devices in the field and deployment rapidly scaling, the LoRaWAN Certified mark provides confidence to the market that devices will perform as intended.”
The LoRaWAN Certification Test Tool (LCTT) has also been released. It is intended for pretest and confirming a device design before shipping it for formal certification testing.
The LoRaWAN Certification program and LCTT will be highlighted during LoRaWAN Live! on Thursday, June 13 from 09:00 to 19:00 at the Hotel Palace Berlin (Budapester Straße 45, 10787 Berlin). It is open to the public and attendees can expect a program of technical and business presentations, as well as hands-on workshops. Limited space is available, but anyone who is interested can still register here.
