Sequitur Labs announced it has joined the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to make Sequitur’s EmSPARK Security Suite available for technical and business collaboration between ST and third-party companies.

By joining the network, the company provides full protection to ST-power smart edge devices. The EmSPARK Security suite offers a security framework that protects embedded firmware, keys, and security-critical assets for ST customers and partners building solutions and ecosystems for IoT, 5G, and more.

EmSPARK enables security functions on the device, rather than through a network connection. Further, developers can build applications with Sequitur's EmSPARK APIs and SDK without having to become experts in cryptography and complex hardware security technologies.

According to a company press release, this enables silicon hardware security features, secure device provisioning, and API access to essential trust services such as secure storage, firmware updates, and payload verification.

The Suite was designed to address solutions within industries where embedded security is critical like industrial control and building automation. IoT hardware manufacturers use EmSPARK to implement device-level security by addressing technical, IP, supply chain, and business process challenges.
