MosChip Supports EMASS’s RISC-V Edge AI SoC

MosChip Technologies is now supporting EMASS’s RISC-V based ECS-DoT Edge AI System-on-Chip (SoC). It integrates dual neural accelerators and 4MB of on-chip memory. The SoC facilitates real-time, milliwatt-class inference for vision, audio, and sensor workloads without dependance on the cloud. The ultra-low-power chip provides always-on AI capabilities for drones, wearables, healthcare trackers, and industrial monitoring systems.

Most of the RISC-V offerings that I’ve seen have been pushing very high performance, with lots of cores and lots of chips. Upbeat Technology is taking a different tack by looking at very low power levels.

Upbeat and SiFive to Demonstrate Dual-Core RISC-V Microcontrollers with AI Acceleration at RISC-V Summit

Upbeat Technology and SiFive, Inc. introduced the UP201/UP301 family MCU, a dual-core RISC-V microcontroller engineered for ultra-low power efficacy. The companies plan to exhibit the solutions at the upcoming RISC-V Summit in Santa Clara, California from October 22–23, 2025.
