Handle Capacitive, Inductive, and Liquid Sensing With a Single PSOC Device - Story

April 14, 2025

The ability to “sense” in different modalities is known as multi-sensing. In a perfect world, that multi-sensing capability would be integrated into a single MCU. And thanks to the Infineon PSOC 4 Multi-Sense MCUs, the perfect world has ascended upon us. But more about that specific device in a bit.

Embedded Executive: Minimize the Power in Your WiFi Network | Infineon - Podcast

April 09, 2025

Low-power is the ultimate priority in some WiFi networks, especially when you’re designing a battery powered device. Cameras used in remote locations are prime targets for this discussion. In some cases, access to that camera is difficult, so the user needed want to charge or replace a battery on a regular basis.

To understand what the current state of the art is, both in terms of power levels and the WiFi standard itself, which is moving to version 7, I spoke to Sivaram Trikutam, the Vice President of Wi-Fi Products for Infineon on this week’s Embedded Executives podcast.

Embedded Executive: Your Industrial Application Needs an Industrial MCU, Infineon - Podcast

February 12, 2025

Industrial platforms come with a specific set of design criteria. And the term “industrial” can be quite ambiguous, running the gamut from power tools to manufacturing equipment.

Obviously, there are different requirements within this range.

When you’re choosing an MCU for this space, you had better understand what your specific requirements are. Making the wrong choice will likely have an impact on the efficiency of your end product, which could result in higher power consumption, less heat, and so on. To understand where a designer should start the MCU selection process, I spoke to Steve Tateosian, the Senior Vice President of Consumer, IoT, and Industrial MCUs at Infineon, on this week’s Embedded Executives podcast.

Why Use a Module to Eliminate Network Congestion - Blog

February 11, 2025

Congestion and interference of Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi® signals are a way of life as the number of devices on networks is increasing on both the 2.4- and 5-GHz bands. It’s becoming more difficult to get reliable, stable, long-range connections for devices in many applications across Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth®, which hurts the users’ experience, and potentially reduces business productivity and efficiency.
