Artificial intelligence (AI) at the edge will tremendously impact a number of industry verticals including robotics, smart cities, healthcare, industrial, retail, energy, agriculture, and more. AI for these applications involves a mix of processing in the cloud and at the edge. To that end, Infineon Technologies AG announced that it is bringing its AIROC™ Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® connectivity solutions to the NVIDIA Jetson edge AI platform.

For more than a century, automobiles have been mechanical devices. In the past decade, however, they have become electronic devices. In the next ten years, they will be digital devices designed around robotics and digital twins.

Sequitur Labs announced the release of its EmSPARK Security Suite for the NVIDIA Jetson edge AI platform. It features a generally available development kit and pre-built Trusted Applications providing robust security features and functions needed to protect AI models at the edge.

Market research estimates the natural language processing market will grow from $20.98 billion in 2021 to more than $127 billion in 2028. Similarly, the AI vision market is expected to grow to $144.46 billion from $7.04 billion in 2020.

NVIDIA and SoftBank Group Corp. (SBG or SoftBank) announced the termination of the transaction whereby NVIDIA would acquire Arm Limited (“Arm”) from SBG. The parties agreed to terminate the Agreement because of significant regulatory challenges preventing the consummation of the transaction, despite good faith efforts by the parties.
