GE’s Intelligent Platforms group recently unveiled two new control solutions, the CPL410, an outcome-optimizing open controller, and a remote-monitoring service platform, the Equipment Insight 2018. As part of the company’s Industrial Internet Control System (IICS), both solutions are designed to handle both Edge controls and analytics to deliver actionable intelligence across the industrial ecosystem.

With users looking to run their data closer to their physical assets, they end up with more efficient and meaningful data, with a more secure solution. In addition, the new discrete solutions can work more seamlessly with existing control systems and applications.

The Equipment Insight solution provides users with better visibility into distributed assets to improve performance and processes through centrally managed remote monitoring. This is a complete end to end solution from data connectivity at the Edge to anomaly detection, trouble shooting, and case management designed to quickly drive identified issues to closure.

The CPL410 offers real-time deterministic control at the Edge to improve performance. As an open Edge device, it can connect to most popular analytics platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. As a part of the PACSystems RX3i CPx400 series, the CPL410 solution offers dual redundancy capabilities and an open architecture.
