Arm-based embedded computer suits harsh environments

Extreme temperatures are no problem for the Zebra board.

VersaLogic’s EPC-2701 Zebra Arm-based embedded computer features models with either the NXP i.MX6 Solo (single core) or the i.MX6 DualLite (dual core) processors. The Zebra is rated for full industrial temperature operation (-40° to +85°C). The compact 95- by 95-mm computer board typically consumes less than 3 W when operating. It can handle shock and vibration per MIL-STD-202G.

Unlike many Arm-based modules, VersaLogic's Arm-based products are complete board-level computers that don’t require additional carrier cards, companion boards, connector break-out boards, or other add-ons to function. The Zebra features Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) with remote boot support. On-board I/O includes two USB 2.0 ports, two serial ports, eight GPIO, CAN bus, Audio, SPI, and I2C. Up to 32 Gbytes of on-board eMMC flash memory is available, and up to 4 Gbytes of RAM can be soldered on for harsh environments.

Zebra joins Tetra in VersaLogic’s production-ready, Arm-based embedded computer line. Both product families are complete board level computers and are designed and built for extreme environments and industry-standard mounting. It’s compatible with popular operating systems including Linux and Android.
