The optimal all-in-one solution for the realization of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI)

The new TQMaRZG2x based on an RZ/G2 processor marks the first milestone in the cooperation between TQ and Renesas. In addition to a high interface variety, this new module category has many powerful features that allow human-machine interfaces to be implemented perfectly.

The new embedded module TQMaRZG2x is based on an RZ/G2 processor (ARM Cortex A53/A57 processor from Renesas) and is available in three CPU variants: RZG2N, RZG2M and RZG2H. Its 64-bit multicore architecture provides faster and more efficient processing of up to four Cortex-A53 (up to 1.2Ghz) and up to four Cortex-A57 (up to 1.5GHz) cores. An integrated high-performance graphics controller supports applications with high display requirements. As with all embedded modules from TQ, full access to all signal pins also guarantees flexible applications and cost-efficient project development. The powerful LPDDR4 allows memory expansion up to 8GB and supports this additionally. Furthermore, the modules have an eMMC memory of up to 64GB. Additional data security is provided by the optional QSPI-NOR flash memory with up to 256MB.

"We are very pleased to further expand our TQ product portfolio with our new hardware partner Renesas and thus to be able to offer our customers the right intelligence for their application - individually adaptable and flexible. The new embedded module TQMaRZG2x is powerful and cost-effective and therefore the optimal usable overall package for applications in robotics, optoelectronics, transportation and medical technology, especially when it comes to the realization of human-machine interfaces", says Andreas Willig, product manager at TQ.

With a long-term software warranty of ten years, Renesas is committed to comprehensive software support. TQ customers thus benefit from long-term available, secure, tested and certified software on which they can establish their customized applications.

With the associated STKaRZG2x starter kit, TQ offers a large selection of important processor interfaces and the possibility to start "out-of-the-box" with software evaluation, the ideal basis for any application development. The following interfaces are available on the starter kit: 1x GB Ethernet for fast data communication, 2x CAN-FD for controlling sensors, 2x MIPI-CSI for connecting camera sensors, 1x PCIe for possible extensions like WLAN modules, 2x USB3.0 for mass storage, 1x LVDS display output, 1x HDMI, 1x RGB, 1x USB-OTG, 1x SD card and many more.

The extensive range of interfaces and the high performance scalability make the TQMaRZG2x a very powerful embedded module with optimal cost efficiency. It is suitable for a wide range of applications and industries - especially for developments in robotics, optoelectronics, transportation and medical technology.
