We’re pleased to announce that the VIA SOM-9X20 module is now Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT.
The Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT program helps businesses get started on their IoT projects quickly by connecting them with an ecosystem of partners that have offerings that can easily connect to the Azure IoT Suite. VIA is strongly committed to the program and offers a growing number of boards and systems that are Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT, including the VIA VAB-820 , the VIA ARTiGO A630, the VIA ARTiGO A820, the VIA ARTiGO A1250, the VIA AMOS-820, the VIA AMOS-825, the VIA AMOS-3005, the VIA Alegro 100, and the VIA SOM-6X50.
The VIA SOM-9X20 is powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 820E embedded platform and delivers the ideal balance of leading-edge performance and stunning visual and audio capabilities in a versatile and ultra-compact package for jump-starting the development of next-generation Enterprise IoT and embedded devices. Measuring just 8.2cm x 4.5cm, the module features 64GB eMMC Flash memory and 4GB LPDDR4 SDRAM onboard and offers rich I/O and display expansion options through its MXM 3.0 314-pin connector, including USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0, SDIO, PCIe, MIPI CSI, MIPI DSI, and multi-function pins for UART, I2C, SPI, and GPIO. A choice of BSPs based on Android 8.0 or Yocto 2.0.3 is available.
The module is also available as part of the recently-announced VIA Edge AI Developer Kit, a tightly-integrated package that also includes the SOMDB2 Carrier Board, a 13MP CMOS camera module (COB 1/3.06” 4224×3136 pixels), a Camera-to-CSI converter board, and an FPC cable for Computer Vision applications.
