ON Semi's batteryless sensors cut cost, form factor for IoT data acquisition

May 12, 2016

Lon Robinson of the Sensors division at ON Semiconductor walks Brandon Lewis through the company's new Smart Passive Sensor (SPS) offering, a line of passive thin-film sensors powered entirely by harvested energy that can be used to acquire temperature, pressure, proximity, and moisture data. In this demo, temperature readings are transmitted wirelessly to a website that displays real-time data, and used to control a color changing LED lightbulb connected via ZigBee.
