FREMONT, CA. TUV Rheinland has opened a short- and long-range wireless Internet of Things (IoT) testing facility in Fremont, CA targeting connected device solutions for the medical, automation, and smart home industries, among others. Dubbed the “IoT Excellence Center,” the facility will offer testing of wireless communications standards including LoRa, Wi-Fi, and zigbee.

The state-of-the art testing center includes a 10-meter electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) chamber capable of testing communications against regulatory standards. It is also outfitted with Daisy5 and Fast specific absorption rate (SAR) systems, as well as over-the-air (OTA) chambers for testing and certifying cellular devices.

An open house will be held on March 9th. Those interested in can find more information at education.tuv.com/event/fremont-lab-grand-opening.
