Newark, an Avnet Company and global distributor of electronic components, products and solutions, has increased its range of high-quality batteries and chargers with the introduction of ZEUS Battery Products in North America.

This addition further expands the options available for Newark customers looking for the highest quality battery design, and reliable custom battery packs.
 
ZEUS offers a complete selection of replacement batteries, chargers, and power accessories, with offerings available in a range of options and optimized for either high-energy density or high-power density. They provide unique designs, with extensive experience in all battery chemistries. ZEUS also offers rechargeable battery cells designed for electric vehicles or electricity energy storage applications. Many ZEUS products feature lithium iron phosphate chemistry for exceptional cycle life and calendar life.

Some of the products from ZEUS include:

• Rechargeable Battery, Lithium Iron Phosphate - These rechargeable cells are designed for electric vehicle or electricity energy storage applications. They feature lithium iron phosphate chemistry for exceptional cycle life and calendar life, and are available in designs optimized for either high-energy density or high-power density. They are low cost, high power, fast charging, safe and reliable, and offer excellent thermal stability, in addition to 2.8 V, 7.5 Ah with Quick Connect, and over 2,000 cycles at 100% DOD.
• Rechargeable Battery, Lead Acid - ZEUS sealed lead acid (SLA) batteries are manufactured in a variety of sizes and amp hour (AH) ratings, allowing for maximum flexibility in design and use. ZEUS SLAs can be discharged in any position due to their valve-regulated design. They require no special handling when shipping. These batteries provide reliable power output in a variety of applications due to their advanced plate and separator materials and precise electrolyte delivery. This results in greater efficiency and improved ability to recover from deep discharge. These batteries are maintenance-free, with low self-discharge, non-spillable, stable quality and high reliability with excellent recharging performance. The batteries feature 12 V, 7 Ah with Quick Connect and up to Up to 260 cycles at 100% DOD.
• Desktop Charger for Lead Acid Batteries - Constant voltage chargers are frequently utilized in the lead-acid cells found in cars and back-up power systems. Users can connect to a standard 110 ~ 240 Vac input to maintain charge of ZEUS lead acid batteries. Sealed Lead Acid batteries are a great portable energy device and one of the most cost-effective solutions for direct and standby power sources. Other features include over current protection, short circuit protection, and reverse polarity protection. They are a great choice for emergency and uninterruptible power supplies.
