Santa Clara, CA. Marvell purchased Avera Semiconductor in an effort to become a leading ASIC supplier for wired and wireless infrastructure. 

Avera’s advanced development abilities supplement Marvell’s standard and semi-custom product portfolio. Avera contributes design experience in analog and mixed-signal SoCs, as well as a strong IP portfolio that includes high-speed SerDes, high-performance embedded memory, and advanced packaging technology. Avera also pursues opportunities in next-generation cloud data centers, with various programs currently in development.
