GrammaTech has some news at this year's Embedded World. CodeSonar, the proven static analysis tool, focuses on the analysis of binary libraries commonly used in embedded development. According to a study by the market research company VDC, nearly 45 percent of the code base of current projects comes from third parties. A good half of them are available as open source, the other half are distributed commercially - and thus usually in binary form. Most of these are libraries. By adopting these important code components, GrammaTech can significantly increase security within the software development lifecycle.

Another focus of the GrammaTech exhibit will be the preview of a completely new plug-in for CodeSonar, which will become available later this year. GrammaTech is working on a groundbreaking technology that combines static and dynamic analysis techniques. For developers, this means more efficiency, less security risks, shorter time-to-market. The new CodeSonar plug-in detects state violations during host-based testing by analyzing memory usage.

At embedded world, which takes place from February 27 to March 1, 2018 in Nuremberg, GrammaTech will present its solutions and innovations in Hall 4, Stand 4-423. In addition, the following lectures are scheduled for Wednesday, February 28:

• 11:00 am to 11:30 am: Paul Anderson in Session 17 on "Combining Static and Dynamic Analysis"
