Septentrio's Mosaic GNSS Module Enables Accurate Localization in NXP's V2X Solution

The module helps determine lane-accurate positioning vital for many road-safety applications of V2X

NXP is integrating Septentrio’s  Mosaic multi-frequency, multi-constellation GNSS receiver into its V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) reference design and development boards. The module helps determine lane-accurate positioning vital for many road-safety applications of V2X, such as queue and emergency stop warnings or blind spot warning. Precise GNSS-assisted localization combined with V2X communication enables a wide array of ADAS functionality, such as automatic braking if slowing traffic is detected ahead or truck platooning.

Multi-frequency multi-constellation technology gives Mosaic access to signals from all available GNSS constellations, including the USA’s GPS, European Galileo, Russian GLONASS, Chinese BeiDou, and Japanese QZSS satellites. To avoid interference from nearby electronics or illegal devices used by some drivers to avoid road tolling, Mosaic uses jamming-resistant signal processing to make it robust against disruption.
