Medical devices are becoming more connected to the Internet in both therapeutic and in-home settings. These devices are starting to operate as a part of the Internet of Things (IoT) in addition to their own therapeutic role. As a result, these devices are subject to the same security concerns as other IoT devices, and the industry (as well as their regulators) are adapting what these other industries have learned to the various classes of medical devices.
