For the 8th time in a row, Transcend Information, Inc. will be participating at embedded world 2018 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from 27th of February to 1st of March 2018. Visitors will not only find a broad portfolio of proven embedded storage solutions, but also some new products in Hall 2 at booth 2-621. This year’s highlights include Transcend’s PCIe SSD with 3D NAND Flash as well as a complete product lineup with Transcend’s proprietary SuperMLC technology.

Extensive product range

Transcend will exhibit its full range of embedded product portfolio, including solid-state drives, DRAM modules, SD memory cards and USB flash drives, for use in the demanding embedded application market. To ensure enhanced durability and stable operation under demanding environmental conditions, all products undergo rigorous reliability testing, and are available with an extended temperature range. Transcend’s products are perfect for use in the following applications: POS / POI terminals, onboard entertainment systems, game machines, barcode scanners, medical technology, set-top boxes, monitoring systems, and others.

Live demonstration: PCIe SSD

Transcend will demonstrate its newly released PCIe Gen3 x4 MTE850 M.2 SSD with 3D NAND flash technology. Transcend's MTE850 M.2 SSD follows NVMe 1.2 and utilizes the PCIe Gen3 x4 interface, whereby four lanes are used for transmitting and receiving data simultaneously, resulting in compelling performance of up to 2,500MB/s read and 1,100MB/s write. Unlike existing planar 2D NAND flash, 3D NAND flash is a type of flash memory in which the memory cells are stacked vertically in multiple layers, delivering a greater level of performance and endurance.

Transcend will also demonstrate its proprietary SSD Scope Pro software package, which allows users to monitor and manage the SSD status via an intuitive interface. It offers various useful features, including drive information, S.M.A.R.T. status monitoring, diagnostic scan, secure erase, health indication, system clone, and remote monitoring.

In order to better meet the needs of different industries, Transcend also offers a wide range of customized services. These range from solutions with optimized firmware, preloading of content and OEM / ODM services, to AES hardware encryption, conformal coating, underfilling, tailor-made stickers, logos and packaging.
