Zinn on the Internet of Things
Ray Zinn, former Founder and CEO of Micrel, and I discussed the Internet of Things (IoT) in this week’s segment. My question for him had to do with “fads” in general, and forgive me if you don’t think that the IoT is a fad (and I don’t). We discussed how much risk you need to be willing to take to make a substantial investment on a technology that may be the “next big thing.” Because being in early could pay huge dividends down the road. We discussed some things that Ray bet on that won, and some that didn’t pan out so well.
