Atollic acquired by STMicro

The Eclipse-based TrueSTUDIO IDE targets ARM Cortex-M-based microcontrollers (MCUs), and will strengthen the development ecosystem around ST?s 32-bit STM32 family of MCUs.

Geneva, Switzerland – STMicroelectronics has acquired development tools company Atollic, creator of the TrueSTUDIO integrated development environment (IDE), for $7 million cash. The Eclipse-based TrueSTUDIO IDE targets ARM Cortex-M-based microcontrollers (MCUs), and will strengthen the development ecosystem around ST’s 32-bit STM32 family of MCUs.
