IAR Systems launches support for flagship Renesas MCUs

IAR Systems released new versions of its C-Trust security development tool and its Security from Inception Suite.

IAR Systems released new versions of its C-Trust security development tool and its Security from Inception Suite. This extends device support with MCUs from Renesas Electronics, addressing security requirements for embedded applications.

The new Suite integrates C-Trust with security development tools and training to support companies moving into the security space. It also helps these companies achieve reach legislative requirements such as the California and Oregon consumer laws ETSI TS 103 645 standard, and IEC 62443 industrial IoT security standard.

“We have built a comprehensive partner ecosystem around RA MCUs, making it easy to develop IoT endpoint and edge devices for a number of application areas,” said senior director of global business development at Renesas Mohammed Dogar, in a press release. “We are pleased to see our key partner IAR Systems further contributing to this by adding support for more Renesas MCUs in their security tools.”

According to the release, C-Trust now supports the RA6M3 group of MCUs in the RA Family. Further, the support of Renesas RX MCUs extends with support for RX72N, building on previous support for Renesas RX65N.
