CUI Devices’ Motion Group introduced the AMT33 Series to its AMT commutation encoder family, to support larger motor shaft sizes from 9 mm to 15.875 mm (5/8 inch). The AMT33 series generates standard U/V/W communication signals for commutating brushless dc motors in industrial, automation, robotics, and renewable energy applications. Features include high durability and accuracy, with added resilience to dirt, dust, and oil.
The AMT33 commutation encoder features 22 programmable resolutions from 48 to 4096 PPR, a current consumption of 16 mA at 5 V, and can accommodate brushless dc motors with 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 20 pole pairs. Housed in a 42.3 x 42.3 x 13.5 mm package, the series offers CMOS voltage or differential line driver outputs, radial or axial orientations, and a -40 to +125°C operating temperature range.
When paired with CUI Devices’ AMT Viewpoint™ software, users can easily configure the encoder’s resolution, pole count, zero position, and direction of rotation. The AMT33-V kit includes 9 sleeve bore options from 9 mm to 5/8 in, and mounting tools to ease the mounting process. The AMT33 series is available immediately with prices starting at $32.67 per unit at 50 pieces.
