Infineon and Volkswagen Collaborate on Electric Future

Infineon Technologies AG has partnered with Volkswagen Group?s strategic supplier network FAST (Future Automotive Supply Tracks) to advance one step closer toward the technology of electric vehicles.
Munich and Wolfsburg, Germany. Infineon Technologies AG has partnered with Volkswagen Group’s strategic supplier network – Future Automotive Supply Tracks, or FAST – to advance electric vehicle technology.
Infineon will help accelerate Volkswagen's move toward electric drivetrains, as its power modules control the automaker's modular electric drive matrix (MEB). FAST will also involve Infineon and Volkswagen discussing future semiconductor requirements.
“Together with our customers, we want to ensure that electro-mobility becomes part of people’s everyday life,” said Infineon’s President of the Automotive Division, Peter Schiefer. “Together with Volkswagen, we can identify requirements early on and create innovations that increase the range of electric vehicles or reduce charging times, for example.”
