For the gaming industry, performance and security are crucial when choosing the right CPU boards. High computing and graphics performance with low waste heat as well as sufficient data security are the crux. The mini-ITX CPU board gKINO-DMF from ICP Deutschland combines both. There are two quad-core SoC models of the AMD Embedded R-series that manage with just a maximum waste heat of 15W or 35W. The on-board SoC is equipped with an impressive AMD Radeon™ graphics of the third generation. This results in a 4K UHD video and picture resolution on three independent displays, which are outputted via two HDMI 1.4 interfaces and a DisplayPort++. On the other hand, the following functions are supported: DirectX®12, Unified Video Decode (UVD) 6 for H.264 decode and Video Coding Engine (VCE) 3.1 for H.264 encode, MPEG-2/4, VC-1 and MVC (Multiview Video Coding). The assembly of up to 64GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory ensures sufficient storage capacity. Due to ECC (error correction) support of the RAM, internal data storage errors can thus be continuously detected and corrected. Optionally an industrial SSD can be connected via the available M.2 port. In order to increase the data security, SSDs with Powerguard function are used. The integrated TPM function encrypts the hardware when transmitting critical data within the own network. Among the numerous serial interfaces - four RS-232, two RS-232/422/485, four USB 2.0 and two SATA 6Gb/s are two RS-232s, which are equipped with the serial protocol ccTalk. CcTalk ensures money transactions between one or more peripheral devices and the host controller in gaming or ticketing machines. ICP offers developers with the gaming board gKINO-DMF, in terms of performance and security, the largest design freedom.
