Semidynamics released a one of a kind 64-bit RISC-V family of cores boosting the ability to transmit copious amounts of information for high-performance computing (HPC) and AI/ML. The cores are process agnostic and utilize Gazzillion technology that was developed for recommendation systems, a must for data center ML.

Davis, California. The Connectivity Standards Alliance has released ratification Zigbee PRO 2023 to be included in the Zigbee protocol stack. The release will enhance mesh networks enabling a universal language giving smart objects an easier route to transmit data to other connected smart devices. Zigbee PRO 2023 develops secure-by-design architecture expanding support beyond 2.4 GHz.

Taipei, Taiwan. Join over 1000 global exhibitors at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center for COMPUTEX 2023. The highlight of this years COMPUTEX will be the keynote address given by NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang.

Santa Clara, California, and Cambridge, United Kingdom. A multigeneration union between Intel Foundry Services (IFS) and Arm will see low power SoCs based on the Intel 18A process. The companies see the future as expanding to applications involving Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, aerospace, and data centers.

Impulse Embedded, released its AI-MXM-H84A, a MXM embedded graphics accelerator designed for AI processing, from Aetina. It is powered by four Hailo-8 edge AI processors delivering 104 tera-operations per second (TOPS) on a single embedded MXM (Mobile PCI Express Module) graphics module.

Uppsala, Sweden. With new security legislation and stricter requirements being passed, IAR designed its IAR Embedded Secure IP for boosted integrated security in designer firmware applications, including support for late-stage product maturity. IAR’s secure software can be installed by the user using hardware security modules (HSM) from IAR Embedded Security Solutions.

Hod Hasharon, Israel and Bloomington, Minnesota. Weebit Nano Limited and SkyWater Technology released Weebit’s resistive RAM (ReRAM) IP in SkyWater’s 130nm CMOS (S130) process. Designers can now simply embed Weebit’s proven non-volatile memory (NVM) into their SoC.

Irvine, California. Newracom, Inc.and Askey, a member of ASUSTek Computer Inc., agreed to collaborate to design a line of Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) supported IoT devices for smart city environments. The standard, 802.11ah, was developed for utilization in edge devices delivering long-range (1km) with low-power communication. It allows enough data transfer for HD video for complete customization.

Itasca, Illinois. Knowles Corporation introduced its V2S200D, a digital voice vibration sensor. Working in unification with microphones, the V2S200D delivers high bandwidth, low-power specialized vibration sensor, and an improvement over voice quality in loud areas by sound deafening ambient noise.

Vancouver, Washington. The National Security Administration (NSA) is now including DIGISTOR’s FIPS 140-2 L2 SSDs to the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) list. It should be noted that the SSDs are the only available drives to achieve this listing. DIGISTOR’s Citadel K Series is the easiest and most reasonably priced way to enable CSfC-level secure data at rest (DAR) solutions for critical government data.

Imperas Software Ltd and Synopsys, Inc. announced a collaboration to accelerate verification of RISC-V processors utilizing ImperasDV verification platforms, and Synopsys' VCS simulation and Verdi debug tools. The partnership will ease time constraints by streamlining RISC-V verification tasks applying to components supplied by both partners.

Wirral, United Kingdom. LDRA added the latest MISRA C 2023 guidelines to the static code analysis and reporting capabilities of its LDRA tool suite. Included is MISRA C:2012 Amendment 4 (AMD4) that combines prior versions of guidelines into a complete edition to improve compliance. "MISRA C guidelines drive the development toward safe, secure and reliable code and this release demonstrates our continued commitment to ensuring MISRA C:2023 compliance is accessible to every safety- and security-critical development team," said Ian Hennell, Operations Director, LDRA.

Chicago, Illinois. Littelfuse released four flexible circuit protection devices in the eFuse Protection ICs product line. The semiconductor-based eFuse Protection ICs are developed for a variety of power inputs including 3.3V to 28V with reliable embedded security. The fuses protect from inrush current, overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit. Real-time diagnostics is supported as well as under voltage lockout (UVLO), overtemperature protection, reverse current blocking, and soft start.

Malvern, Pennsylvania. Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has updated its TSOP2xxx, TSOP4xxx, TSOP57xxx, TSOP6xxx, and TSOP77xxx series infrared (IR) receiver modules for remote IR solutions.  An in-house designed Cyllene 2 IC. delivers upgraded performance with a diminished use of energy over a wider power supply. Included are innovations attended to protect from ESD and direct sunlight for extreme environments.

Tel Aviv, Israel. Variscite has developed the VAR-SOM-AM62 around the Texas Instruments AM62x with 1.4 GHz Quad-core Cortex-A53, 400MHz Cortex-M4F, and supplementary 333 MHz PRU real-time co-processors. The VAR-SOM-AM62 includes certified dual-band Wi-Fi, BT /BLE 5.2, 3x CAN bus, dual USB, and dual GbE. For graphics, the $33 module delivers MIPI-CSI2 camera interfaces embedded with a 3D GPU, viewable on dual LVDS displays.

Wincomm released a compact full IP watertight stainless-steel box PC, the WTC-8J0, powered by Intel Elkhart Lake CPU and diverse I/Os. The WTC-8J0 is built on the Intel Celeron J6412 2.0GHz (codename: Elkhart Lake (EHL), Passmark:3929, +43% compared to J3455) and supports up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.

Henderson, Nevada. Aldec, renovated its linting tool ALINT-PRO to increase the support of Microchip Technology's Libero SoC Design Suite. The update allows for automatic conversion of Libero projects into ALINT-PRO’s ecosystem for static linting and clock domain crossing (CDC) evaluation of hardware devices in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.

NI’s PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation (PXI) are designed for developers in their pursuit of building higher performance mixed measurement solutions for validation and production tests. The sub-compact single system houses multiple box instruments without diminished performance. PXI software affords users scalability and flexibility.

sureCore has designed the PowerMiser Plus, a new family of ultra-low voltage SRAM solutions that are operational down to 0.45V. Performance, as well as power consumption, are able to be increased and decreased concurrently by the logic and memory interfacing at equivalent voltages.

Orlando, Florida. OPSWAT recently announced its MetaDefender Kiosk K2100 an ultra-rugged mobile kiosk developed for secured critical networks in the most extreme environments.
