Toradex launched its Aquila iMX95 System on Module (SoM) based on the NXP i.MX 95 SoC. Support for out-of-box compatibility with Torizon (an easy-to-use Industrial Linux Platform) is included. “The introduction of the Aquila iMX95 to our powerful Aquila Family of SoMs enhances our product line with superior performance and versatility, ensuring that our customers can tackle their most demanding projects with ease.” commented Samuel Imgrueth, CEO, Toradex.

 

Syslogic introduced the AI ready Railway Computer RML A4NX Its EN50155 and EN45545 HL3- certified platform is based on the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX system-on-module (SoM). The solution is ideal for applications including object and hazard detection, environmental perception, track monitoring, intelligent video analysis, predictive maintenance, or control of autonomous systems thanks to its integrated iGPU allowing the process of data from multiple high-resolution sensors in near real time.

Seeed Studio released its thumb size XIAO RA4M1 integrating Renesas' RA4M1 chip (32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 MCU up to 48 MHz with FPU) into the classic XIAO form factor. Features include 256KB Flash, 32KB SRAM, 8KB EEPROM, a USB 2.0 connector, reset and boot buttons, 3 LEDs, a 14-bit A/D converter, a 12-bit D/A converter, and a CAN BUS interface. The XIAO RA4M1 carries the same processor as the Arduino Uno R4.

AAEON entered a collaboration with VyOS Networks recognizing VyOS Networks’ open-source software being combined with AAEON’s FWS-2280, FWS-2360, and FWS-2365 desktop network appliances with the goal of accelerating innovative networking solutions providing VyOS Networks' range of networking tools including routing, firewall, VPN, and monitoring capabilities.

Variscite will offer complete support for NXP’s Debian 12 (based on the Linux kernel 6.6.3) for its i.MX-based solutions. Variscite will receive early access to the Debian release supplying its clients with an advanced availability to design on i.MX application processors.

Seeed Studio introduced its XIAO RP2350, what it is billing as one of the smallest MicroPython-Ready Dev Boards powered by Raspberry Pi RP2350 in a XIAO form factor. For the compact size, the board includes 19 GPIOs, an RGB LED, battery management, and more. Developers can simplistically add displays, sensors, motors, LED matrix, and expansion boards. MicroPython C and C++ is supported out of the box.

Vecow Co., Ltd. announced its Edge AI Platforms achieved EN50155:2021 certification solidifying its commitment to safety, reliability, and performance. The European standard, EN50155, is concerned with all electronic devices used in rail, confirming each meet the highest levels of compliance and reliability across various environments, design, documentation, testing, and integration.

Los Angeles, California. Premio Inc. announced its formal introduction into NVIDIA Embedded Compute Competency under the NVIDIA Partner Network (NPN) Program. The collaboration sees Premio Inc.’s consistent commitment to innovating AI and edge computing while improving its competences within the NVIDIA Jetson ecosystem as a hardware provider for off-the-shelf NVIDIA Jetson Orin computing systems.

PEAK-System launched the PCAN-OBDonUDS API, a new programming interface for the high-layer OBDonUDS (SAE J1979-2) protocol. The API is designed to offer OBDonUDS services for Windows application development, using the underlying PCAN-Basic and PCAN-UDS APIs to communicate diagnostic data over the CAN bus.

Reno, Nevada. SundanceDSP launched the FMC-ADC500CD board, a High Pin Count (HPC) FMC module offering four channels, each with high-speed, high-resolution ADC and DAC capacities. It delivers two dual-channel ADS54J60 ADCs from Texas Instruments that provide four ADC channels with 16-bit resolution at up to 1 GSPS. The board also includes a quad-channel DAC39J84 DAC, offering four channels capable of 16-bit resolution at 2.8 GSPS. Both ADC and DAC interfaces employ the high-speed JESD204B standard, guaranteeing uniform integration with carrier FPGA boards.

Axiomtek released its energy-efficient 1U desktop network appliance platform, the NA350C, powered by the low-power Intel Atom processor x6425E (code name Elkhart Lake) for firewall, VPN, SD-WAN, and 5G gateway applications. The NA350C offers either seven RJ-45 or five RJ-45 with two SFP, that support Ethernet bandwidth and rich customization services. It is delivered with Wi-Fi 6, LTE, and 5G modules with two SIM slots for wireless module connectivity.
 

IMAGO Technologies released its Vision Cam XM2 Line Scan, an intelligent embedded line scan camera system combining line scan technology, intelligent image processing, and AI vision in a compact design. NVIDIA’s ORIN System-on-a-Chip provides enhanced computing power for complicated image processing utilizing a high-resolution 2.5k sensor and customizability options making it ideal for applications including continuous materials, pharmaceuticals, packaging, food, and printing.

South Burlington Vermont. OnLogic introduced a new AI consulting service in which AI experts work closely with customers for AI customization and design. "We've heard from customers that they see real business value in implementing AI solutions, but they're often not sure where to start. Insights from a trusted advisor can help them pull the pieces together," said Michael Kleiner, VP of Edge AI Solutions at OnLogic.

Littelfuse, Inc. announced an update to its C&K Switches KSC2 Sealed Tactile Switch product line with Precise Electrical Height. The KSC2 series is ideal for surface-mount technology (SMT) and is IP67-rated with 3.5 mm high momentary-action tactile switch featuring a soft actuator.

Silicon Motion announced the SM2508, a PCIe Gen5 NVMe 2.0 client SSD controller for AI PCs and gaming consoles. According to the company, it is the first PCIe Gen5 client SSD controller using TSMC’s 6nm EUV process, offering a 50% reduction in power consumption compared to competitive offerings in the 12nm process. It consumes less than 7W of power while providing 1.7 times the power efficiency of PCIe Gen4 SSDs and up to 70% better efficiency than other PCIe Gen5 SSDs on the market.

During The Future of Memory and Storage Conference, Hammerspace will showcase its Global Data Platform that is billed as a vendor-neutral solution for AI data environments designed to accelerate existing storage to achieve the performance needed for GPU-based workloads using current infrastructure without the need to install proprietary client software.
