BenQ Qisda Group and DFI were exhibitors at Computex 2023 where they were the first, and only, to showcase an international ISO certification in sustainability. During the 2012 Olympic games in London, the “ISO20121 Sustainable Event Management” was adopted as a global management standard for event sustainability.

Manchester, Massachusetts. Blues is extending operations through the EMEA focusing at first on the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and Germany. Blues’ Notecard and Notehub allow customers to link their assets to a cloud in an easy to integrate plug-and-play device.

Carlsbad, California. Trident IoT is now a principal member of the Z-Wave Alliance adding to its other partners, the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, and the LoRa Alliance. Trident IoT announced it will now be a direct supplier of Z-Wave Technology solutions with interests in manufacturing proprietary silicon and modules, as well as to offer support for all RF environments. The company offers consultation for RF technology, UL and ETL preparation, and U.S.-based Z-Wave device certification.

During India's Automation Expo 2023 DFI will be showcasing its factory automation solutions including SR-IOV virtualization technology and AGV/AMR robotics. At the expo, DFI will focus on the four areas - factory automation, rugged products, motherboards, and systems. Within DFI’s main themes will be embedded system modules and touchscreen tablets.

Boardcon announced the SBC3588, a single board computer powered by a Rockchip RK3588 Octa-core for 8K video output and 4K HDMI input. The RK3588 runs on four ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores maxing out at speeds towards 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores with performance close to 1.8 GHz.

Rochester, New York. D3 is now offering its DesignCore RS-L1432U mmWave Radar Sensor leveraging the AWRL1432 from Texas Instruments (TI). The solution utilizes various mmWave radar algorithms to measure, detect, and track in a 1-inch cube form factor, while also using lower power with a decrease in volume costs for automotive applications such as park assist, kick-to-open, and collision avoidance.

Taipei, Taiwan. IBASE Technology Inc. released an enterprise 1U edge server, its INA8505, powered by Intel’s Xeon D-2700 processor. The solution is ideal for extensive 5G Open vRAN & MEC uses like autonomous vehicles, smart city deployments, and real-time data analytics. There is potential for complete control over resource allocation within the RAN and MEC allowing seamless integration of AI into the edge deployed 5G network infrastructure.

Taipei Taiwan. Advantech is collaborating with MOV.AI to boost and simplify the development of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The partnership will deliver innovative software environments for manufacturing, operating, and deploying AMRs.

Delft, Netherlands. The first Evaluation Assurance Level 6 Augmented (EAL6+) certificate as part of Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC/ ISO/IEC 15408 standard) has been awarded to Huawei's HongMeng Kernel, the foundation for privacy and security.  

Irvine, California. Fairview Microwave, an Infinite Electronics subsidiary, released a new series of Wi-Fi 6E components that deliver 10 watts power rating with frequency up to 12GHz. The devices use general connectivity inputs such as, Type N and TNC for a flexible solution. Supplemental attenuators range from 1 dB up to 30 dB.

San Jose, California. Supermicro, Inc. revealed its E3.S storage solutions leveraging the first PCIe Gen5 drives and CXL modules for AI learning and HPC clusters. The storage utilizes the standard E3.S (7.5mm) Gen 5 NVMe drives from notable vendors with up to 256TB of high throughput, low latency storage in 1U or up to a half petabyte in 2U.

Baobao Industrial has released a new series of 10-point multitouch capacitive touch screen monitors with IP65 and IP40 ratings for inclement edge deployments. The monitors were developed to run constantly and consistently in rugged environments Leveraging operating temperatures from -10 to 60 degrees Celsius.

New York, New York.  TechSee, is collaborating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support Amazon Connect. Amazon Connect is a complete cloud contact infrastructure now offering an integration of TechSee's AI and AR solution.

Malvern, Pennsylvania. Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., by the way of its Optoelectronics group, is delivering its VCNT2030, a surface mounted reflective optical sensor that measures 1.85 mm x 1.2 mm x 0.6 mm containing a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and a silicon phototransistor. The sensor is ideal for industrial, computing, consumer, and mobility applications.

Real Time Logic presented the Xedge32 Development Environment delivering a native and open gateway to ESP32 IoT design. The ESP32 is a 240MHz dual-core microcontroller with built-in Wi-Fi at a low-cost point. Lua is allowing coders of all levels to develop IoT solutions without the hassle of complex C code. Leveraging the Barracuda App Server C Code Library, the Xedge32 supports access to the ESP32's GPIOs (referred to as the "south bridge"), while developing the Barracuda App Server's Lua APIs. Integrated are advanced processes such as MQTT, OPC UA, and Modbus.

Boston, Massachusetts. The Industry IoT Consortium (IIC) and the International Society of Automation (ISA) ratified ISA/IEC 62443, radically improving security for industrial automation and control systems (IACS). The groups published the report as the IoT Security Maturity Model (SMM): ISA/IEC 62443 Mappings for Asset Owners and Product Suppliers and Service Suppliers.

Los Angeles, California. Premio Inc. released that its industrial edge platforms have attained UL (Underwriter Laboratories) Listed compliance, meeting the IEC 62368-1 3rd Edition* standards defined by UL 62368-1 Ed. 3. The certification gives system developers a wide variety of UL-Listed industrial computers supporting mission-critical safety. 

Swissbit and lern.link GmbH have collaborated to boost security for cyber learning environments. The integrated FIDO2 standard enables secured user logins to the Moodle LMS platform utilizing multi-factor authentication (MFA). The Moodle plug-in for "multi-factor authentication" combines technology from the partnership for FIDO2/WebAuthn and is available to download at moodle.org/plugins/. Universities, schools, and businesses will now have phishing-resistant authentication through a hardware security key or FIDO stick.

Santa Clara, California. THine Solutions, Inc. (THine) unveiled its THSCP101, a THEIA-CAM 13MP PDAF Camera utilizing OLogic’s Pumpkin i350 and Pumpkin i500 Evaluation Kits (EVKs) for optimal image delivery. Integrated System on Chips (SoCs) are MediaTek’s Genio 350 and Genio 500 supplying processing power for N edge AI + IoT environment.Tak Iizuka, Chief Solution Architect of THine Solutions, Inc. said, “Previously, developing a scalable integration of high-resolution and high-performance imaging capabilities to an AI + IoT system had been really difficult, but not anymore.
