Uppsala, Sweden. IAR is now supporting NXP Semiconductors’ S32M2 motor control for software-defined electric vehicles within its IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm. According to IAR, the solution provides a next level compiler and debugger for S32M2 devices that are based on Arm Cortex-M microcontroller cores. Integrated within the C/C++ suite is also the ability to monitor power consumption for more sustainable options.

Cincoze released its new panel PC series, the P2202+CV/CS/CO Series powered by Intel’s Core U-series (Alder Lake-P) processor. There are currently two models in the family, the P2202 and the P2202E (PCIe expansion 75W). Memory consists of 64GB of DDR5 4800MHz inside a 254.5 x 190 x 41.5 mm form factor.

Chesham, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. Sundance Multiprocessor Technology released a new module combining Microchip’s PolarFire SoC MPFS250T from Trenz Electronic and Sundance’s open-source EMC²-DP PC104 SoM Carrier (40mm x 50mm). Sundance believes the solution will revolutionize the PC104 standard with the power and precision from Microchip and the flexibility and open-source of its EMC²-DP PC104 SoM Carrier.

 

Uppsala, Sweden. IAR CTO, Anders Holmberg, offered the following perspective on what free costs, “Free tools may seem like a good idea, but they often result in higher long-term costs due to inefficiencies and the need for additional resources to compensate for their limitations.” To help combat lost money, when trying to save, IAR released its Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculator to its Embedded Workbench.

IC Nexus released its 150mm x102mm SBC3800 single board computer (SBC) utilizing Rockchip’s RK3588 A76+quad-cortex A55 processor at 2.4Ghz while supporting multiple displays. Facial analysis is processed using a neural processing unit (NPU) performing up to 6 Tops with connectivity options of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

 

Wincomm released its 19”-24” Raptor Lake Medical AI Panel PC WMP-19S/22S/24S series leveraging Intel 13th Gen. Core i9/i7/i5 processor with 35W(max), 24/16/14 cores, MXM graphic card slot ready for A4500/A2000/A1000, IP65 front, dual video-in/out ports design, 250W power supply, optional UPS battery, and a PCIex4 expansion slotMXM GPU Card / UPS Battery Inside.

Ismaning, Germany. Kontron is designing a COM-HPC Mini module centered on the COM-HPC 1.2 standard approved by PICMG. The COM-HPC Mini is marketed as having a generous enhancement in performance. New applications are possible by broader scalability while the module only measures 95 mm x 70 mm.

Battle Ground, Washington. Signal Hound has released the portable SP145 spectrum analyzer with 200 GHz/sec sweep speed, 40 MHz streaming bandwidth, and –160 dBm displayed noise average. Included is an integrated GPS for edge environments with power via a USB-C for RF data acquisition.

Kirkland, Washington. Alliance Memory is expanding its 3V multiple input/output serial NOR flash memory products by welcoming its 4Mb (AS25F304MD-10S1IN) and 16Mb (AS25F316MQ-10S1IN) devices in the SOP8 Narrow Body (150mils) package. The devices have a read performance of 104MHz with accelerated program and erase times down to 1.1ms (4Mb) and 2.6ms (16Mb).

Patras, Greece. Irida Labs announced its Smart Cities & Spaces Vision AI Suite. The Smart Cities & Spaces Suite tackles the challenge of the Proof of Concept (PoC) cycle with a collection of collaborating off-the-shelf solutions powered by the PerCV.ai Platform.
 

Lauta, Germany. PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme’s Universal Debug Engine (UDE) now supports NXP Semiconductors’ S32M2 motor control addressing power challenges with high voltage analog features including MOSFET gate pre-drivers, LIN or CAN FD, and voltage regulators. The S32M2 leverages Arm Cortex-M4 or -M7 cores.

Wilk Elektronik SA’s, Goodram Industrial, released its DDR5 memory modules with a frequency of 5600 MHz. Goodram claims the new modules offer up to 50% faster data transmission when juxtaposed with previous DDR4 modules. The DDR5 has enhanced energy efficiency that sees a reduction of 15% (DDR4) while the modules operate at a mere 1.1V, aiding in the overall temperature of the device.

Pro-face released its user-friendly STC6000 Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Control family with integrated programmable Logic Controller (PLC) capabilities. Featured is a 5.7” high-resolution touch screen with flexible graphical interfaces. Network protocols are provided by OPC-UA, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP which are ideal for industrial automation.

Axiomtek announced its kiwi size KIWI310 Femto-ITX embedded board as one of the most compact industrial SBCs on the market. The 1.8” SBC utilizes x86 architecture powered by an Intel Celeron N3350 processor including support for Windows, Linux, and Android OS.

Tel Aviv, Israel. Variscite has released its DART-MX95 built on NXP’s i.MX 95 series of processors. Offered is up to six cores leveraging 2.0 GHz Arm Cortex-A55 with two independent real-time co-processors for safety/low-power and 250 MHz Arm Cortex-M7 and 800 MHz Arm Cortex-M33.

 

Campbell, California. Arteris, Inc. and Semidynamics are collaborating to enhance the next generation of electronic components for artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and high-performance computing (HPC) applications. The agreement sees the interoperability between Semidynamics' Atrevido and Avispado 64-bit RISC-V processor IP cores and Arteris’ Ncore cache coherent network-on-chip (NoC) system IP.

Eden Prairie Minnesota. Beacon EmbeddedWorks released the quarter size i.MX 8M Plus and its ZoomTM Development Kit. The NXP i.MX 8M Plus collects up to four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 1.8 GHz, with a neural processing unit (NPU).

Goodram Industrial, a Wilk Elektronik SA brand, introduced an Embedded MultiMediaCard (eMMC) internal flash storage to its portfolio for use in portable devices. The non-volatile memory chip is integrated onto the motherboard and can be leveraged where traditional memory drives cannot fit.

BRESSNER Technology released its Nuvo-10108GC and Nuvo-10208GC edge AI GPU computing platforms with up to two RTX A6000, RTX A4500, or RTX 4080 GPUs. The platforms are powered by Intel Core 12th and 13th generation CPU with up to 24 cores and 32 threads.

Sunnyvale, California. Synopsys, Inc is expanding its ARC Processor IP portfolio with its RISC-V ARC-V Processor IP. The series will consists of low to high performance options to fit the intended application allowing the flexibility designers need. “RISC-V processors are gaining in popularity as more designers look for greater design flexibility and more options,” said John Koeter, senior vice president of product management and strategy for IP at Synopsys.
